One of the greatest things about having a food business is seeing people — from kids to food bloggers — enjoying our snacks. What’s even more exciting is seeing how people eat our snacks in unique ways. We shared some of our personal favorites in our last post, but this week we wanted to share this wonderful recipe that Jessi over at Jessi’s Kitchen created with Artisan Tropic plantain strips.
Jessi took nachos and just substituted the corn chips with plantain strips. When we saw it, it got us thinking: why didn’t we think of that? Jessi’s plantain nachos are loaded with delicious toppings and, as she writes on her blog, she paired them with a homemade, tangy BBQ sauce that is the perfect pairing to the natural sweetness of the plantains.
